The Xtra Seal 13-674 Lead-Wire Combination Repair Unit is a professional one-piece patch and plug repair designed to permanently repair radial and bias-ply tires. By combining an injury-filling stem with a reinforced inner liner repair patch, the 13-674 restores both the tire's injury channel and inner liner in a single repair while meeting industry-recommended puncture repair procedures for tread-area injuries. It is intended for repairable injuries with an angle of 25 degrees or less.
Unlike quilled repair units, the 13-674 utilizes a lead-wire installation system that allows the repair to be inserted from inside the tire and pulled through the injury channel without special insertion tools. The repair patch features gray vulcanizing gum with a blue poly backing, while the stem is dip-coated with premium vulcanizing gum for maximum adhesion. The unit is compatible with both chemical and heat vulcanization methods.
