The Coats Maxx 70 220V Rim Clamp Tire Changer is a professional tire changer built for high-volume passenger car and light-truck tire service. Its powerful 220V, 2 HP electric motor, wide 6–24 inch external clamping range, Robo-Arm® helper device, and high-pressure dual-nozzle bead sealing system give technicians the capability to handle everything from conventional assemblies to demanding low-profile and run-flat tires.

The Maxx 70 uses Coats' Robo-Arm® bead depressor to hold the tire bead in the wheel's drop center during difficult mounting and demounting procedures. A polymer Duckhead® mount/demount tool helps protect finished wheels, while the air-operated four-clamp tabletop accommodates a broad range of wheel sizes.

Its 220V configuration is particularly well suited for busy tire shops that want more torque and power for difficult assemblies without stepping up to a more complex tire changer.

Robo-Arm® Helper System

One of the biggest selling points of the Maxx 70 over a more basic rim-clamp changer is the included Robo-Arm®.

The articulated helper arm applies pressure to the tire sidewall to keep the bead down in the wheel's drop center during mounting. This reduces the amount of manual force required when working with stiff sidewalls, particularly on low-profile and run-flat tires. It can also assist technicians when handling difficult lower beads.

Dual-Nozzle Bead Sealing

Instead of relying solely on air delivered through the valve stem, the Maxx 70 incorporates a high-pressure dual-nozzle bead sealing system. The two nozzles direct a concentrated volume of air toward the bead and rim to help seat difficult tire assemblies more quickly.
