Product Overview
The ESCO 20466C Tire Balancing Beads provide a reusable internal balancing solution for truck tires and other pneumatic tire applications. The ceramic beads distribute themselves throughout the tire as it rotates, continually responding to changes in the tire and wheel assembly to help maintain consistent balance throughout the life of the tire.
Supplied in a 17.6 lb. (282 oz.) bulk bucket, the 20466C allows technicians to measure the appropriate amount of balancing media for each tire using the included application chart. Each scoop measures 3 oz., making the bulk format convenient for professional tire shops, commercial fleets, and high-volume tire service operations.

How ESCO Balancing Beads Work
ESCO Balancing Beads use centrifugal force to dynamically balance the rotating tire and wheel assembly from inside the tire. As the assembly rotates, the free-moving beads distribute themselves to counteract imbalance.
Because the balancing media remains free to move, it can continually adjust as the tire wears rather than remaining fixed in one position like conventional wheel weights.
Recommended Applications
ESCO identifies its balancing beads for a broad range of tire applications, including:
- Commercial truck tires
- Fleet vehicles
- Trailers
- RV and motorhome tires
- Automotive tires
- Light trucks
- Motorcycles
- ATVs

The amount of balancing beads required varies by tire size and should be selected using the ESCO application chart.
